VeriSwap Helpdesk
Online
Hi there! 👋 I'm the VeriSwap Helpdesk Bot. Ask me anything about the platform — for example, try typing "How do fees work?" or "What is KYC?"
Frequently Asked Questions
What is VeriSwap?
VeriSwap is a peer-to-peer currency swap platform designed for international students in Russia. It connects people who need to exchange currencies securely, using verified identities and a secure handshake protocol.
How do I get verified (KYC)?
After registering, go to Dashboard → KYC Verification. Upload your Passport (primary ID) and Student ID (secondary). An admin will review and approve your documents. Once approved, you can post and accept swaps.
What is the Digital Handshake?
The Digital Handshake is a 3-step security protocol:
Step 1: Both parties pay the service fee via SBP and upload receipts.
Step 2: The sender clicks "I've Sent" which starts a 60-minute countdown.
Step 3: The receiver clicks "I've Received" to complete the swap.
If the receiver doesn't confirm in time, the transaction is frozen and escalated to an admin.

What are the service fees?
Both the sender and receiver pay a 0.01% service fee to VeriSwap admin accounts via SBP (Sistema Bystrykh Platezhey). This fee is automatically calculated and displayed during the handshake process. You must upload proof of payment before proceeding.
What is partial fulfillment?
If someone posts a $100 swap and you only want to exchange $60, you can partially fulfill it. The system updates the remaining $40 and keeps the post active for other users to fulfill. This provides flexibility and faster matching.
What are Trust Chunks?
For new users (trust score = 0) taking on large transactions (over $500), the system recommends splitting the transaction into smaller $100 chunks. Each chunk goes through its own handshake, reducing risk for both parties.
How do I report a problem?
Use the contact form below to describe your issue. Include your transaction ID if applicable. Our team reviews all submissions and will respond via email. For urgent disputes, transactions are automatically frozen when a deadline expires.
What transfer methods are supported?
VeriSwap currently supports: Cash (in-person), Ecocash, Innbucks, and Mukuru. The transfer method is specified when creating a swap listing so both parties agree on the method upfront.
